Supervision

The State of Michigan requires LLPCs to complete at least 3,000 hours of post-degree counseling experience over the course of a minimum of two years. Additionally, a minimum of 100 hours of supervision is required to be completed by each LLPC. These hours can be in person, via real-time two-way audiovisual technology, or a combination of both.

It is important to remember that the supervision process is structured to ensure that limited licensed counselors apply their theoretical knowledge effectively in a real-world context, while developing clinical skills, self-awareness, and resilience, all under expert guidance and supervision.
