About Us

At Supervision4LLPCs, we offer both individual and group supervision in a professional online format. We use the latest technology and AI to make it easy and effective. Right now, we supervise LLPCs in Michigan, but we’re expanding to other states soon.

We’ve discovered that by helping LLPCs grow, gain insights, and learn more about their craft, they not only become more intuitive counselors but also easily meet their state licensure requirements. Our goal is to create a supportive learning environment where LLPCs can confidently build their careers and learn more about themselves along the way.

Our Mission

Matthew Govier LPC

Our mission is to establish a supportive, educational, and ethically sound environment where Limited Licensed Professional (LLPCs) can develop confidence, enhance clinical skills, prepare for their National Certification Examination (NCE), and attain full licensure. We provide flexible online supervision and ongoing education services to make professional growth accessible, engaging, and grounded in best practices.

We don’t just oversee your clinical work—we partner with you to cultivate competence, confidence, and compassion in your counseling practice.

We offer personalized and group supervision designed to address the distinct professional and personal development goals of each LLPC, as well as the various challenges new counselors encounter on their journey to becoming an LPC. Our approach is empathetic and supportive, ensuring that you receive the guidance and mentorship needed to thrive in your career.

More About Us:

My name is Matthew Govier, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than ten years of experience in mental health counseling, clinical supervision, and program development. My professional career path displays my commitment to advancing the field of behavioral health through clinical excellence, leadership, innovation, technology, and education.

Professionally:  I have served as Director of Clinical Operations at a company I helped to co-found, where I established clinical programs, HIPAA compliance systems, and data-driven, treatment planning that produced real-time clinical outcomes.  So, we could discern if the treatment a client was receiving was producing efficacious results or not. I also served as a Clinical Supervisor, I provided supervision to a team of 20 clinicians and supervised graduate interns.  Furthermore I developed continuing education credits for both NASW and the APA, while strengthened partnerships with schools, courts, and healthcare providers. My direct clinical work has included outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings, with specialties in trauma, PTSD, addiction, anxiety, ADHD, Autism, and depression.  Lastly I have authored two books.  The first book focuses on pathology and treatment of mental health disorders, and the second book focuses on self-care, spirituality, and mindfulness.

Education & Continual Learning:  I hold two master’s degrees, one in Addiction Counseling and the other in Professional Mental Health Counseling. Building on this strong academic foundation, I am now pursuing a Ph.D. in General Psychology, Integrating Technology, Learning, and Psychology.

In addition to my licensure as a Professional Counselor and Supervisor in the state of Michigan, I hold multiple specialty certifications, including Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. I also completed advanced training through the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) in MDMA-assisted psychotherapy. These certifications and trainings have allowed me to combine traditional evidence-based therapies with innovative and integrative approaches to helping client's heal and improve my knowledge based as a supervisor.

Community Involvement:  I have presented at elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, universities, and professional organizations. I have given lectures and facilitated groups of professionals on topics such as reducing stigma in mental health, implementing assessments in clinical practice, and how to develop counseling groups in schools and communities. Across all settings, my passions involve fostering growth for both clients and professionals, helping individuals build resilience, while guiding emerging clinicians to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
